In the second gif, I like how you can ever so slightly see the outline of the tree, which creates a sense of curiosity and then satisfaction as the tree is colored in. The gif is always engaging because it remains detailed and fidgeting even when it doesn’t have color. I also like the third gif for the same reason, because it consistently entertaining. The smoke moving through and shifting both the foreground and background is really interesting to watch, there’s a new movement to see every time.
Your bonsai animation is really gorgeous, even though the animation was all done digitally, it maintains an almost hand-made aspect through all of the “glitching” in the image. It reminds me almost of a flip book and its just mesmerizing to watch it loop over and over again. Your other gifs are both nicely executed as well, great job!
