This is my creative introduction for the class.I chose to draw a quick self-portrait as the “death” tarot card, “death” in tarot simply means change and transitions and that is currently where I am in life.
Stop Motion Project with Cooper, we created a story of an oppressive queen who becomes overthrown by her civilians. She’s sitting on a platform to indicate her power over them, and also we created her to look scarier as well. With their numbers however, the civilians overthrow her to stop her tyranny.
Positive and Negative Space Project
This was my Music Imagery Project. I chose the song Tangerine by Glass Animals and created an abstract girl who was a tangerine. The song is about someone losing touch with who they are so I drew a slice coming out of her to indicate that.
Motif Project with Anna, Vreanna, and Jack. Our motif was about the four evils: hear no evil, speak no evil, see no evil, and do no evil. We wanted a dark theme so we created dramatic and contrasting lighting to achieve that.
Meme Project, my goal was to touch on the subject of Senator Ted Cruz abandoning his state during a crisis and going to Mexico for vacation. I wanted to subtly point out how his actions have caused the public to view him as a coward and not fit for a senator position due to him running away from problems.
This was my Fab Lab 3D Printer Project. Our goal was to create a shell for a water bottle to make a recycled vase. I spent the week in the lab coming up with designs and learning the programing. I eventually came up with this simple, thin, minimalist design and printed it to fit a gatorade bottle.
This is my Creative Self- Portrait, the main focal point I wanted to bring forward was my journey of becoming the person I want to be. I’ve been through many hardships that have caused me to lose touch with who I am. The left side of me represents who I am now and where I have been. The right side is representative of the tarot card “The High Priestess” who is in touch with her emotions and intuition. She is wise, caring, feminine, and she rules spirituality. She is who I am working to become. This piece also contains symbols of my hobbies, passions, interests, and characteristics that define me. Some of these symbols shift from right to left, indicating what I plan on changing and working on for myself. These are my journal entries from the past semester, I wrote two every week and documented dreams, events, and thoughts that happened throughout the week.
